Systems Accountant

Marks Sattin are currently working with a major food manufacturer to assist in the recruitment of a Systems Accountant.

You will develop systems, processes and reports to ensure the effective and efficient processing and analysis of financial and operational data and to further extend the range of management tools and reports used to inform the business. To ensure that robust governance is applied over finance and reporting systems and users can rely on integrity of financial and reporting systems.

Responsibilities;

• Work with the Senior Analyst, the business and IT to design and develop financial systems and reporting to provide the business with relevant, standard management information. Work with all stakeholders to prioritise and respond to new requirements as the business grows and evolves.
• Work with the Senior Analyst taking an active part in analysing and verifying existing data and reporting.
• Work with the Senior Analyst to provide training to budget holders and others in the wider organisation who need to use the systems.
• Provide a consistent and approachable point of contact for stakeholders.
• Take the lead on trouble shooting user reporting issues working alongside all stakeholders.
• Take the lead on system and reporting integration for new acquisitions with the Senior Analyst.
• Assist the Senior Analyst by partnering with IT to help determine future reporting and financial system strategy on behalf of the Group Financial Controller.
• Take the lead on new financial and reporting system implementations and upgrades.
